I am a scientist whose interests span the boundary between ecology and geography. I use remotely-sensed data and GIS methods to conduct ecological research focusing on where species live and why they live there, with the ultimate goal of contributing to conservation . I am also interested in the use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) for collecting data, and in promoting the safe growth of the UAV industry and regulatory environment in Canada. When I'm not working, I enjoy skiing, hiking, rock climbing, jamming on the flute and ukulele, creating art, playing soccer, and travelling.
